I've only fished the Barr for around an hour before my train one night. No bites but seen one massive rise in the distance. I'm not a pike angler mainly float and bait but occasionally I'll ledger or use a small mepps. I'm usually to be found on Semple, The Calder or the burns where I've had success. I'd be interested to hear of any catches from the Barr big or small. I'll stand and catch small perch on light gear any day. Cheers

And yes, the mess in sections of the Barr is a disgrace. I know a crowd of teenagers gather there on Friday and Saturday nights for a beverage.

Semple from the yacht club upto the Black Cart, sometimes if dry by the reeds near The Calder. Calder anywhere I can find although still to fish above the Falls this year. Will be hoping to get there shortly. Possibly this week. The Burns, anywhere there's a gap amongst the reeds.
